Haircut moon calendar: the best days to cut your hair

Honestly: science doesn't confirm a link between the Moon and your hair — it's a tradition. But it's a coherent one, and if you're going to pick a day for your haircut anyway, it makes more sense to pick it by the real sky than by a recopied chart. Everything here is computed with exact astronomy: where the Moon is each day, whether it's waxing or waning, and which lunar day is running.

How to read the lunar calendar: “Excellent day” — Moon in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn or Leo: by tradition, hair comes out stronger and easier to manage (Leo is the classic pick for volume). “Fine” — neutral days, nothing against. “Better skip”— Moon in Cancer or Pisces, or one of the month's four hard lunar days.

Should I cut my hair on a waxing or waning moon?+
If you want hair to grow back faster — cut on a waxing moon: length returns with more momentum. If the goal is keeping the cut's shape longer and strengthening the roots, choose the waning moon. That's the tradition's central and most practical principle.
Which days should I avoid for a haircut?+
By tradition — when the Moon passes through Cancer or Pisces: hair is believed to come out weak and unruly. Plus four hard lunar days each month (the 9th, 15th, 23rd and 29th lunar days) — worth skipping for both cuts and coloring. All of them are flagged in the table.
Does this apply to coloring and treatments too?+
The tradition extends the same rules to coloring and serious treatments: strong days come with the Moon in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn and Leo. In practice your colorist and product quality matter more — but if you're choosing the date freely, choose among the excellent days.
Is the calculation exact or approximate?+
The astronomy here is exact: the phases, Moon signs and lunar days in the table are computed from the ephemeris, not copied from another calendar.
